VENEZIA AND THE LAGOON’S ISLANDS OF MURANO AND BURANO
1st day Departure at 7:00am to Venice
With its singing gondoliers, exotic architecture and mysterious canals, Venice has been a fabled holiday destination for centuries. You can get a taste of it with this two day bus tour from Milan.
While in Venice you'll take a two-hour guided walking tour exploring the maze of canals and laneways until you arrive at the incomparable St. Mark's Square. As you stroll, your guide will point out the significant buildings and monuments you’ll pass.
The afternoon is free for you to set off on your own Venetian adventure, exploring tucked-away medieval streets. Dinner in a traditional restaurant and hotel overnight.
2nd day Lagoon cruise and return by bus to Milan (approx. arrival time 8:30pm)
Explore the famous islands of the Venice lagoon, Murano and Burano, boarding a comfortable motor boat. You'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware and then to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colours, and, of course, the famous lace. The area was a summer resort area for the ancient Romans, and in the pretty town of Sirmione, perched on the end of a long promontory on the southern shore of Lake Garda, you can visit the ruins and mosaics that record their presence.

Florence is a treasure trove of important paintings and sculptures, medieval architecture and Renaissance palaces, and on this tour you will see Michelangelo's famous statue of David plus architectural treasures by Giotto and Botticelli.
While in Florence you'll visit the Academy Gallery and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Michelangelo with his world-famous marble statue of David and other important works.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of tours will be accepted until 05 October 2009, up to which the total amount will be refunded.
For cancellations received after 5th October and up to 25th October 50% of the expenses will be refunded. No refund will be done for cancellation received after 25th October 2009.
Tours include transfer (where indicated), entrance fees and English-speaking guide. Lunches/dinners are included where clearly specified. Taxes are included. All tours are based on a minimum number of 20 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, the tour will be cancelled.
